State Rep. Tom Kunse is urging the community to save the date for the annual Legislative Softball Game set to take place on June 5 at Jackson Field in Lansing. Joining forces with Rep. Alabas Farhat, D-Dearborn, Kunse emphasized the bipartisan nature of the event, aiming to surpass last year's success and draw a larger crowd.
"Last year was a success, but this year we want to fill Jackson Field," expressed Kunse, highlighting the importance of putting political differences aside for a common cause. "Things can get tense in Lansing, but we’re all here because we want to make things better. The Legislative Softball Game allows us to throw politics aside, embrace bipartisanship, and raise money for a really important organization."
The designated charity for the 2024 event is Ele’s Place, a facility dedicated to supporting grieving children through various services, such as peer-to-peer support groups and bereavement counseling. The doors will open at 6 p.m., with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. While entry is free, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase concessions to support the cause.
Representing the 100th House District, which encompasses Mecosta, Osceola, parts of Lake, and Clare counties, Kunse is rallying support for the charitable event that aims to bring the community together for a worthy cause.
