The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's basketball team is set to travel to Buffalo, New York, for a Mid-American Conference game against the University at Buffalo. The game will take place on Saturday, March 1, at 2 p.m. inside Alumni Arena and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Howard Simon and Matt Mattia providing commentary.

Both teams are coming off recent losses; EMU faced an 82-72 overtime defeat against Miami University, while Buffalo lost 71-68 to the University of Toledo. Despite these setbacks, the game promises to be competitive as it features two of the top scorers in the MAC: Sisi Eleko from EMU and Chellia Watson from Buffalo.

"The game at Buffalo will mark a return to the area for several members of the program," noted EMUEagles.com. Coaches Sahar Nusseibeh, Shareese Ulis, and Meg Cunningham were previously associated with Canisius College along with players Athena Lexa, Sisi Eleko, Mackenzie Amalia, Brooklyn Thrash, and support staff Ti Fultonand Lexie Mesuch.

EMU's previous encounter with Buffalo resulted in a 77-55 loss earlier this season. However, EMU aims to leverage their strong shooting performance against Miami where they made 14 three-pointers. "Sisi Elekofinished with a 14-point, 16-rebound double-double," marking her significant contribution to the team's efforts.

Buffalo enters the match with a record of 22-5 overall and an 11-4 standing in MAC play. Chellia Watson leads both her team and league in scoring with an average of 20.3 points per game.

Following this matchup in Buffalo, EMU will conclude its road games for the season by traveling to Akron on March 5.
