CMU College of Medicine hosts White Coat Ceremony for Class of 2028
The CMU College of Medicine welcomed its 12th cohort of students with a formal White Coat Ceremony on August 9, 2024. Selected from more than 8,000 applicants, the Class of 2028 is comprised of just over 100 students. Among them are 82 Michigan residents; six of whom received undergraduate degrees from CMU. These future physicians officially began their medical education by accepting their coats and making a commitment to compassionate care by reciting the Declaration of Geneva.

CMU announces inductees for its second annual Media Hall of Fame
In 2019, the CMU Journalism Hall of Fame reorganized to form a new Media Hall of Fame, following the merger of the School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, the Department of Journalism, and the Department of Communication to create the new School of Communication, Journalism and Media. With support from the College of the Arts and Media, this new school launched the CMU Media Hall of Fame in November 2023. The awards now extend to alumni, former students, and faculty from all programs within the school.
