CMU prepares graduates for a lifetime of success, starting with their first decade after commencement. The 10 Within 10 alumni awards program recognizes exceptional achievements within a decade of graduation. This year's honorees achieved success quickly in their fields, which include education, public service, law, entertainment, media and more. The Alumni Association is honored to recognize these 10 recipients as the 11th Class of 10 Within 10. The honorees were selected from more than 60 nominations.
Sabrina Bierstetel, Class of 2016 from the College of Liberal Arts and Social Science, serves as an assistant professor of psychology at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. "Sabrina is passionate about working with students," noted her colleagues. She has received awards for research and her effectiveness in teaching and mentorship. Sabrina completed her Ph.D. in five years immediately following her four-year education at CMU and obtained a tenure-track assistant professorship during the final year of her Ph.D. program.
Monica Bradburn, Class of 2018 from the College of Arts and Media, works as an MLB live content creator and NHL live social contributor. Monica photographs the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and their opponents while maintaining a significant social media presence with over 100,000 followers on Instagram and more than 700,000 followers on TikTok.
Tyler Bradley, Class of 2015 from the College of Arts and Media, is a creative entertainment producer for Disney Live Entertainment and Walt Disney Imagineering. Tyler leads a development program that produces projects focused on shaping the future of live entertainment for Disney’s parks, resorts and cruise lines.
Erica Francis, Class of 2015 from the College of Arts and Media, co-anchors weekday morning news for FOX 2 News in Detroit. Erica reports on various stories across metro Detroit while actively volunteering throughout the region.
Charles Mahone II ("Chuck"), Class of both 2016 and 2018 from the College of Arts and Media, is an associate at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago where he represents buyers and sellers in complex strategic transactions. Chuck also engages in pro bono work with minority-owned businesses and helps refugees petition for asylum.
Kylee Miller graduated in the Class of 2016 from the College of Science and Engineering as an Emmy award-winning certified Broadcast Meteorologist for CBS News Detroit. Kylee was recognized by becoming only the second-ever meteorologist to earn the Certified Digital Meteorologist Seal from the American Meteorological Society.
Leah Moskovitz graduated twice (Class of both 2017 & 2020) from CMU's College of Business Administration before becoming village clerk for Elk Rapids where she focuses on providing efficient public service to residents.
