FOIA Request to Isabella County Election Division Regarding Pre-Election Voting Machine Test Reports on October 30, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at East Michigan News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Isabella County Election Division. This request seeks access to records pertaining to the pre-election testing of voting machines.
Specifically, we have asked for the test reports in PDF format with specific fields such as the test date, machine manufacture, machine model number, and machine status (whether it passed or failed). These details are critical in ensuring that the voting machines used in elections are functioning correctly and accurately recording votes.
We believe that access to these public records is essential for us at East Michigan News to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
