Eastern Michigan University (EMU) and the University of Detroit Mercy are collaborating to conduct a Winter Clothes Drive aimed at supporting local families in need. This initiative will coincide with two basketball games: EMU Women's Basketball will face Detroit Mercy on November 26, and EMU Men's Basketball will host them on November 30.

Fans attending these games are encouraged to bring new or gently used winter clothing items, such as coats, scarves, hats, and gloves. In return for their donations, fans will receive a free ticket to the game they attend.

Donations collected at EMU events will benefit Ozone House, a nonprofit organization in Washtenaw County that has been assisting homeless and at-risk youth since 1969. Ozone House provides shelter and resources to approximately 1,300 homeless youth each year.

This partnership between EMU and UDM Athletics highlights their commitment to community support during the holiday season while also fostering a spirit of competition on the basketball court.

"Together, we can make a difference – one coat, one hat, one pair of gloves at a time."
