Neyer hosts public meeting on MI Supreme Court ruling about restaurant tipping

State Representative Jerry Neyer, a Republican from Shepherd, is organizing a roundtable discussion to address the recent Michigan Supreme Court ruling on restaurant tipping. The event aims to clarify the implications of the decision for restaurants and service industry workers. Additionally, it will cover forthcoming changes to minimum wage and employee sick time policies.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cheers Neighborhood Grill in Mt. Pleasant. It is open to the public and free of charge.

Special guests include Scott Ellis, Executive Director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, and Justin Winslow, President and CEO of the Michigan Restaurant Association. They will provide insights into the changes and respond to questions from attendees.
