Eastern Michigan University's football team concluded its 2025 spring season with the annual Spring Game at Rynearson Stadium, offering a glimpse of the team's progress under Head Coach Chris Creighton. The team, divided into the Green (defense) and White (offense) squads, displayed their development over a series of 15 spring practices.

"This is a huge day for us. It always has been," Creighton expressed. "To go from where we started — with 24 new guys and some inexperience — to where we are now, it's a night-and-day difference. This is all part of the maturation process we began on January 7."

Standout performance came from junior linebacker Marco Patierno, who registered two sacks. The defense was active, racking up nine total sacks, with contributions from Marvell Eggleston, Messiah Blair, and Luke Fletcher.

"The atmosphere and energy were amazing," Patierno said. "This was my first real game day at EMU, and it felt incredible to be out there with the guys."

On offense, all four quarterbacks participated, including Jeremiah Salem, who connected with Tanner Lemaster for a touchdown. Tavierre Dunlap led the rushing efforts with 41 yards and a touchdown.

"We've been competing all spring, and that's made everyone better," Salem noted. "From day one, the offense has been learning, adjusting, and building chemistry."

In a complement to the game, a field goal competition saw Nathan Dibert and Rudy Kessinger succeeding in their attempts.

Creighton underscored the team's community engagement, "Our guys have been reading to elementary schools every Friday this semester. This wasn't just a one-day thing — it's part of who we are."

Additionally, fans participated in a book drive, collecting over 500 books for local school libraries.

With the spring session ended, focus shifts to the upcoming 2025 season. EMU representatives at Rynearson Stadium were available to help fans purchase season tickets, offering various packages, including perks for alumni and general admission options.
