Eastern Michigan University's baseball team secured a 10-9 victory over Bowling Green State University at Oestrike Stadium. The game concluded with a walk-off double by sophomore Drew Jones, who drove in two runs in the ninth inning.

Junior Mat Sanfilippo achieved his first win of the season as a relief pitcher for Eastern Michigan, delivering a crucial strikeout with bases loaded in the top of the ninth. At bat, senior Kyle Schroedele led the Eagles, achieving two hits including a home run and contributing three RBIs.

Drew Jones also had an impressive performance with three hits and two RBIs. Senior Blake McRae added to the team's efforts with three hits and one RBI.

The Eagles initially trailed 4-0 but started their comeback in the second inning when Schroedele hit a home run with Cory Taylor on base. They continued to close the gap in subsequent innings before finally overtaking Bowling Green in the ninth inning.

Key moments included Schroedele's 10th home run of the season and Giano Zuccaro's RBI single that temporarily gave Eastern Michigan a lead in the fourth inning. Lucas Johnson also contributed with two hits, marking his 14th multi-hit game this year.

Bobby Jones pitched eight strikeouts, matching his season high for strikeouts in a game. The Eagles recorded their third walk-off win of the season, having previously defeated Central Michigan University twice under similar circumstances.

This victory marks Eastern Michigan's 112th win against Bowling Green out of their 189 meetings historically. Cory Taylor reached his career milestone of 100 hits during this game.

The teams will face off again tomorrow for their second match at Oestrike Stadium.
