Eastern Michigan University (EMU) and the University of Michigan have announced a renewal of their non-conference football series, which has been inactive since 2011. The teams are set to face each other at Michigan Stadium in 2027 on September 18 and will meet again in Ann Arbor during the 2030 season on September 7.

Historically, the University of Michigan has won all ten previous encounters against Eastern Michigan. The series began in 1896 with an 18-0 victory for Michigan. Their last meeting was on September 17, 2011, resulting in a 31-3 win for Michigan.

EMU's non-conference schedule is planned through to the year 2030. Details about the Mid-American Conference schedule are typically released in early March.

As preparations for the upcoming season continue, EMU's Ticket Office has opened sales for the 2024 ticket packages. EMU will host six home games this season, beginning with a match against Jacksonville State on Saturday, September 14 at Maxx Crosby Field inside Rynearson Stadium.
