Three student-athletes from Eastern Michigan University's tennis team have been recognized on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team. The announcement was made on May 15, highlighting Sabina Brichackova, Andrea Quiroz, and Prerna Vichare for their academic achievements. These honors come shortly after they were named Academic All-Mid-America Conference honorees.

This recognition marks the first time members of EMU's tennis program have received CSC accolades since the sport was separated from the At-Large category in the 2022-23 academic year. The program had previously received one honor when Vanessa Frankowski was named to the Academic All-District Second Team At-Large in 2008.

Brichackova completed her junior season with 26 victories and earned two MAC Doubles Team of the Week honors alongside freshman Ksyusha Saenko. Her performance included clinching a crucial doubles point against Miami University and contributing to a significant win over Western Michigan University.

Quiroz achieved 35 combined wins in singles and doubles play during the 2023-24 season, improving her singles win total by 16 from the previous year. Her efforts were pivotal in securing victories against Ball State University and Bowling Green State University.

Vichare added 20 wins to her career tally, bringing it to 70, including 43 doubles wins. She played a key role in several team victories and partnered with Daniella Shved to secure multiple doubles points throughout the season.

The Eagles concluded their season at the MAC Tournament on May 2, where they lost to top-seeded Toledo in the semifinals. This marked Eastern's first tournament appearance since 2018. The team finished tied for third in the MAC standings with an overall record of 12-11 and maintained a perfect home record of 11-0.
