Clare County spent $102,783 on women’s collegiate basketball teams in 2023, representing a 30.5% increase from the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

Overall, basketball teams in the county received a total of $206,024, with the women’s team receiving $102,783.

Since 2013, the average sports expenses in Clare County have grown 1,141%.

Basketball is one of the most popular sports played at U.S. colleges, as well as football. NCAA basketball teams are often as popular as NBA teams, and offer a different experience for fans.
