Savannah de Bock and Julianna Go secured tied 11th place finishes while Erina Tan ended in the top 20, as the Eastern Michigan University (EMU) women's golf team achieved third place at the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships from April 20-22 at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana. The EMU Eagles, recording 42-over 906 (301-310-295), marked their ninth all-time top three finish in the MAC Championship, with their last top finish being second place in 2015.

Kent State University maintained a lead throughout the event, winning the team's 26th consecutive MAC title with a 9-over 873 (289-296-288). Bowling Green State University took second with a 37-over 901 (296-314-291), while Northern Illinois University and Ball State University finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Jasmine Driscoll from Ball State garnered individual honors with a 2-over 218 (67-77-74). Four athletes, including Addison Kartusch from Bowling Green and Kent State's trio of Gracie Larsen, Isabella Goyette, and Aryn Matthews, finished tied for second at 3-over 219.

Two EMU players narrowly missed the top 10 as de Bock from Belgium/Ecaussinnes-d'enghien scored 11-over 227 (73-78-76) and Go from San Juan ended with an identical score of 11-over 227 (75-78-74). These scores rank among the top for EMU in the MAC Championships. Tan, representing Belmont, Western Australia, tied for an 18th place finish with a score of 13-over 229 (79-79-71), with her final round yielding one of the tournament's top rounds.

TEAMrankings

Riley Kim from Aldie and Mariana Vega from Barranquilla both contributed in the third round with scores of 77 and 74. Kim ended with a cumulative 152 and 48th place while Vega finished 50th with 155, and Angelica Holman shot 158 to complete the team. The team performance allowed EMU to surpass its previous season record and claim one of its best finishes in years, with significant improvements compared to 2024, where EMU finished 10th.

"Savannah de Bock finished the season with an average of 72.8, which broke the school record by 1.8," mentioned Coach Preston, highlighting the progress made by the team this season. The conclusion of the 2024-25 season signals a period of rest and preparation until further updates are released through official EMU channels.

Results from the event showed Kent State leading the championship standings with a total of 873 (+9), followed by Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan.
