Former Gladwin High School player and current Saginaw Valley State Cardinals infielder and outfielder, Lucas Mead, will compete in the NCAA D2 Baseball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number one seed against the fourth seeded Ashland Eagles.

The first game is on Thursday, May 16.
