Our team has been busy visiting our local schools to speak about fire prevention

Our team has been busy visiting our local schools to speak about fire prevention. Our lessons included education about smoke detectors, fire being a tool (not a toy), escape plans, stay low in smoke, keeping bedroom doors closed at night, what a firefighter wears, and cooking safety (age appropriate). The schools we visited were:

1. Lake Hills2. Holmes 3. Jeffers4. St. Mary's 5. Local daycares

We held a contest with each elementary school. The students entered a contest to submit their home escape plans and each school winner received a ride to school in a fire engine! Congratulations to our winners: Ethan, Ryan, Olivia, and Thomas!

Thank you to Crockery Township Fire Department for helping us present!
