***UPDATE*** The Isabella County Child Advocacy Center

***UPDATE***

The Isabella County Child Advocacy Center was informed late this afternoon that full funding has been restored!!!

This is BEYOND frustrating. Chief Sawyer serves as the Board Chairperson for the Isabella County Child Advocacy Center with some of the most incredible people he knows. The staff is the best! You WILL NOT find people more committed to the children of this county.

The Center has an annual budget of $350,000. They normally receive approximately $194,000 in federal funds and  were informed that was being slashed to $75,000! Where do they make up $120,000? That is a cut in funding of almost 61% and a cut to the Center's budget of almost 35%. And just for fun, their fiscal year ends September 30th.

They are very careful with the finances they receive. They stretch a dollar as far as it can possibly go.

The Isabella County Child Advocacy Center gives a voice to children who have it stolen at the hands offenders who are pure evil. It's not fun to think about the reality that we have children in our county who are being subjected to sexual and physical abuse...but it is a reality!

This roadblock is not going to stop the mission. They aren't going to give up. But more than ever they need your help! If the government is going to cut its funding, then we (the community) needs to raise the money.

Please share this with all of your friends!

If you're willing to help with a financial gift, please contact Chief Sawyer and he will put you in contact with the appropriate person.
