MSP Mount Pleasant troopers were conducting an investigation and were alerted to an individual that was armed with a firearm and threatening to harm themselves inside the Wal-Mart in Mount Pleasant. In addition to the Michigan State Police, multiple agencies including the Isabella County Sheriff, Mount Pleasant Police, and Central Michigan University police responded to the business and the subject was taken into custody without incident.
There was no active shooter as incorrectly reported by individuals on social media. This incident remains under investigation and details will be released as they become available.
