Bill G. Schuette, a Michigan state legislator, recently posted several updates on his social media account, addressing issues ranging from state governance to community events and local traditions.
On August 29, 2025, Schuette commented on the Governor's decision to call a special election for Senate District 35 after an extended vacancy. In his statement, he wrote: "My statement on the Governor finally calling the special election for SD-35. 488 days without a Senator is a case of unserious governance and a leadership vacuum. Let’s work to change that in 2026" (August 29, 2025).
Schuette also marked Labor Day with a message recognizing workers across various sectors. On September 1, 2025, he posted: "The annual Midland Labor Day Tridge walk is always a great way to celebrate the exceptional American worker! No matter where you work - be it in a factory, farm, office, school or in the home - have a good day Labor Day!" (September 1, 2025).
Later that same day, Schuette shared his yearly tradition of ranking ice cream flavors with: "As we come to the end of Labor Day weekend, I know I am expected to make a big announcement so here it is…. My annual Top 5 Cones of Summer 25 “Sea Salt Caramel” from the Arcadia Ice House. Classic flavor, good texture." (September 1, 2025).
Schuette has represented Midland County and parts of central Michigan as part of his legislative duties.
