City of Howell recently issued the following announcement.
The City’s Police Department recently participated in a “No Shave November and December” fundraiser. Participants in this fundraiser donated $50 each to give their razors a break and skirt the clean-shaven policy. In November, participants raised $350 with a $350 match from the Patrol Officer Union fund. An additional $250 was raised in December. The funds were used to support two local families this holiday season.
We weren’t able to grab a picture of all the participants (probably for the best, it was a very hairy and scary situation), but we do have one of scruffy Sgt. Kelleher. Thank you to all who participated – you *shaved* the day. Hope your holidays were *hairy* and bright!
