MidMichigan Medical Center - Gladwin issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
The Annual Support Committee of MidMichigan Health Foundation’s Development Council serving Alpena recently hosted the fifth annual Clays for a Cause sporting clay shoot at the Sportmen’s Club in Alpena. This year nine teams participated and more than $6,600 was raised. Proceeds will go to the Medical Center to help fund vital patient enhancements that will provide advanced technology and more comfortable surroundings for patients and their families.
During the annual event, Development Council members and Medical Center employees joined in the fun by participating in the 13 rounds. Those taking part included Chuck Sherwin, president, MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena; Thomas Thornton, M.D.; Ben Eggleston, M.D., Justin Rodenbough, M.D.; Matt Stevens, P.A.-C.; Eric Chrzan; Tonya Spens and Joe Garber.
Winning teams included first place awarded to Meridian Contracting/Industrial & Welding Services, second place awarded to Only Dust, and third place awarded to Panel Processing. Many of the sportsmen purchased raffle tickets for giveaways. Sherwin won the top raffle prize of a Remington V3 Field shotgun.
