State Representative Bill G. Schuette welcomed Midland Chief of Police Nicole Ford to the state Capitol on Thursday, Sept. 11, for a ceremony commemorating the September 11, 2001 attacks. The annual event is held to honor first responders and members of the military from Michigan, including those who have died in the line of duty over the past year.

“I was honored to be joined by Chief Ford for this important and moving ceremony,” Schuette said. “The sacrifices our first responders and military heroes make for people and families in our communities when they put on the uniform is truly inspiring, and we will continue to honor their commitment to service.”

Schuette serves as the representative for Midland in Michigan's 95th House District.
