The inaugural Eagle Golf Classic is set to take place on Friday, September 12, at the Eagle Crest Golf Course in Ypsilanti. This event serves as a fundraiser for Eastern Michigan University's men's and women's golf teams. It marks the first time both programs have held a combined fundraiser, offering participants the opportunity to play on the Eagles' home course while supporting the teams' development.
Registration is currently open for those interested in joining the event, with a deadline of Friday, September 5. The day's schedule includes registration at 8:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start for a four-person scramble at 9:00 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m., and concluding with a program and silent auction at 2:00 p.m.
Participants can register as part of a foursome for $1,000 or as individual golfers for $250. The registration fee includes access to the golf course, range balls, cart rental, breakfast treats, lunch, and tee gifts.
Several sponsorship opportunities are available to support EMU golfers further. Options include adding an EMU Golf student-athlete or coach to your team or becoming one of several presenting sponsors ranging from $1,250 to $10,000.
Additionally, there is an option to stay overnight with a hotel block reserved at Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest next to the course. Reservations must be made by August 21.
