State Representative Tom Kunse and Senator Roger Hauck recently honored Ferris State University Hockey Coach Bob Daniels with a tribute. The event marked Daniels' retirement from his position as head coach, a role he held for 33 years.

“It was truly an honor to recognize Coach Bob Daniels, whose passion and dedication have been the heart and soul of Ferris State Hockey for the past 33 years,” said Kunse. He highlighted that Daniels’ influence goes beyond just coaching. “As the winningest hockey coach in Ferris State history, Coach Daniels has not only built a powerhouse program but has also mentored and inspired generations of players, shaping their futures both on and off the ice.”

Senator Hauck praised Daniels' contributions to the sport: “His leadership and unwavering commitment have left a lasting legacy—not just at Ferris State, but in the world of hockey itself. His influence will be felt for years to come. Congratulations to Coach Daniels on a well-earned retirement after an extraordinary career.”
