A highlight for EMU has been its academic success; the team recorded a program-best GPA of 3.510 during the fall semester of 2024, with four players achieving perfect scores.
Looking ahead, Alumni Weekend events are scheduled around EMU's game against Toledo from January 31 to February 1. The Eagles will also participate in the MAC/SBC Challenge against Georgia State on February 8 in Atlanta.
On an individual level, Mackenzie Amalia stands out with her recent scoring spree—she accumulated a total of 76 points over her last five games—and continues to lead her team with an average of 5.1 assists per game. Sisi Eleko remains notable for maintaining high averages in both points and rebounds per game within the MAC standings.
Eastern Michigan has had a consistent streak from beyond the arc, making at least one three-pointer in each of their last 119 games—a streak that ranks as their third-longest since starting this tracking method back in the year 2000.
Following this home game against NIU, EMU will travel to Ohio University for another road contest scheduled for Saturday, January 25.
