Eastern Michigan University's women's basketball team will face the University at Buffalo Bulls in a home game on Wednesday, January 15. The match, part of the Mid-American Conference, will be held at George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti at 6:30 p.m.
The Eagles currently hold a record of 1-13 overall and 0-4 in MAC play, while the Bulls stand at 13-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. This encounter is the first of two scheduled meetings between these teams for the season.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with commentary from Ryan Wooley and analyst Claire Dau. Fans can also listen to live coverage on WEMU (89.1 FM) with Tom Helmer or through The Varsity Network app. Updates will be shared on Eastern Michigan's official X account (@EMUWBB).
Eastern Michigan's Sisi Eleko and Buffalo's Chellia Watson, both averaging 19.9 points per game, are set to compete against each other as the top scorers in the MAC. "Sisi Eleko continues to average a double-double with 19.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game," states the release.
Additionally, Sahar Nusseibeh, who joined EMU this year but previously coached Canisius against Buffalo for three seasons, brings experience against their opponent.
Fans attending are reminded that Alumni Weekend is scheduled for January 31-February 1, featuring an Alumni Game and Mixer around EMU's match against Toledo.
Buffalo recently ranked No. 9 in College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll as of January 7 and suffered a loss to Ball State before coming into this matchup.
Looking ahead, Eastern will travel north to compete against Central Michigan University on Saturday, January 18.
