The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team faced a challenging Mid-American Conference road game against Bowling Green State University, resulting in a 90-76 loss. The game took place on January 4 at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. Despite shooting 50 percent from the field and having four players score in double figures, the Eagles were unable to overcome the Falcons.

Sisi Eleko led the Eagles with 26 points, marking her sixth game of the season scoring over 20 points. "Sisi Eleko continued to pile up points as she tallied 26 in the game," stated an official report from EMUEagles.com. Other notable performances included Mackenzie Amalia and Olivia Westphal, each contributing 14 points, and Olivia Smith adding another 13.

Bowling Green began strongly with a 10-0 run before Eastern Michigan found its rhythm. However, by halftime, Bowling Green had extended their lead to 54-32. In the third quarter, Olivia Westphal scored nine points for Eastern Michigan while Eleko added six more to her tally.

Eastern Michigan managed to win the fourth quarter but could not close the gap sufficiently to secure a victory. The team saw improvements with four players reaching double-digit scores for the first time this season.

This match was also significant for head coach Sahar Nusseibeh as it marked her first encounter against a former employer where she served as an assistant coach from 2013-16.

The Eagles' next game is scheduled for January 8 against Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
