Eastern Michigan University celebrated the graduation of 25 student-athletes on December 14, 2024. The ceremony took place at the George Gervin GameAbove Center as part of the winter commencement for the 2024-25 academic year.
Graduates from various colleges within the university were recognized, including those from the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education, GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology, College of Health and Human Services, and the Individualized Studies Program. More than 1,000 students were eligible to participate in this event.
Among the graduating student-athletes were individuals from several sports disciplines. The list includes one baseball player: Nick Chittum from Grosse Ile, Michigan.
The football team saw a significant number of graduates with seventeen players earning their degrees. They include Jefferson Adam from Ypsilanti, Michigan; Blake Bustard from Muskegon, Michigan; Blake Daniels from Macomb, Michigan; James Djonkam from Springfield, Virginia; Justin Jefferson from Chicago, Illinois; Jaheim Jenkins from Bainbridge, Georgia; Terry Lockett Jr. from St. Paul, Minnesota; Chris Mayo from Deptford, New Jersey; Dontae McMillan from Seattle, Washington; Dramarian McNulty from Brookhaven, Mississippi; Delbert Mimms III from Indianapolis, Indiana; Broderick Roman from Lansing, Michigan; Quentavius Scandrett from Lovejoy, Georgia; Joshua Scott from Antioch, California; Isaac Smith from Memphis Tennessee; Cole Snyder from Lakewood New York and Joey Zelinsky Cressona Pennsylvania.
Two rowing athletes also graduated: Isabella Nothom and Abbey Simpson. In soccer Meagan Lukowski and Vittoria Greco received their degrees while in swimming & diving Madelyn Sursi along with Ciara Wheeler graduated as well. Volleyball player Angel Baylark was among those completing her studies too.
