The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team is set to face Purdue Fort Wayne on Sunday, December 15, at 2 p.m. The game will take place at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This matchup marks the beginning of a two-game homestand for the Eagles.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Brent Balbinot and Grant Long providing commentary. Additionally, Tom Helmer and John Motherwell will cover the game live on WEMU (89.1 FM) and through the Varsity Network App. Fans can also access live stats via EMUEagles.com.

Eastern Michigan recently faced a defeat against Loyola Chicago with a score of 76-54 after which they had a 12-day break from competition. Junior Christian Henry led the team by scoring 21 points during that match while senior Da'Sean Nelson contributed 13 points.

Nelson has been recognized as MAC Co-Player of the Week as of December 2, following his impressive performance averaging 21 points per game over three games. His achievements include matching his career high with 24 points in an overtime loss to Detroit Mercy.

"Eastern Michigan, Missouri, and New Mexico are the only three schools in the nation to have three different players score 28 points in separate games this season," according to EMUEagles.com.

Senior Jalen Terry is leading Eastern Michigan with an average of 14.9 points per game and is noted for his rebounding skills despite being just six feet tall.

Stan Heath is coaching Eastern Michigan for his fourth year with a current record of 36-66 at EMU.

In other highlights, Cooper Smith scored his first points as an Eagle during their recent game against Loyola Chicago while Yusuf Jihad has shown improvement in shooting accuracy this season.

Following their upcoming match against Purdue Fort Wayne, Eastern Michigan will host Wright State on December 21 at home for their first-ever meeting between these teams.
