The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) tennis team concluded its fall season at the Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State University from November 1 to 3. The event provided the team with a chance to gain experience against strong competitors at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center in East Lansing, Michigan.

Head Coach Ryan Kucera expressed satisfaction with the team's performance. "I am really proud of the way we wrapped up the fall," Kucera said. He highlighted improvements in singles play and overall game consistency. "There are so many positives to build off and I am incredibly excited for the spring."

Freshmen Viki Hazmukova and Lara Diaz Zayas, along with graduate transfer Marta Komar, were notable performers for EMU. Diaz Zayas secured three victories over the weekend, including two doubles wins alongside partner Daniella Shved. Hazmukova and Komar each recorded 2-1 records in Flight D, with Komar narrowly missing a perfect record after a challenging three-set match.

Overall, seven players from EMU participated in both singles and doubles events during this final fall competition.

The team is set to announce its spring schedule in early December, with matches beginning in January 2025. Fans can follow EMU tennis on social media platforms such as Instagram (@emu_tennis), X (@EMUEaglesTennis), and Facebook (EMUTennis).
