Eastern Michigan competes at EMU Fall Classic with notable personal records

The Eastern Michigan University cross country teams participated in the EMU Fall Classic held at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Michigan, on October 25. The event did not feature team scoring.

In the men's race, Nicholas Kline from Grand Rapids, Michigan, representing Kenowa Hills High School, led the Eagles with a time of 17:00.10, securing the 26th position. Drew Graves from Shelby Township, Michigan and Henry Ford II High School was the only other male participant for Eastern Michigan, finishing at 18:23.90. Both athletes achieved personal bests during this race.

On the women's side, Eastern Michigan fielded nine runners. Frankie Moore from Columbia, Maryland and Oakland Mills High School topped her team's performance with a personal best of 19:00.20 to place 30th overall. Five additional female runners broke the 20-minute mark: Cora Henderson (Courtice Secondary) clocked in at 19:06.70; Sophie Emin (Easton Area/Rutgers) finished at 19:12.10; Alynna Wilson (Lebanon High School) recorded a time of 19:37.80; Kayla Muir (Ida/Stautzenberger College) completed her run in 19:54.80; and Laisette Rachal crossed at 19:56.60.

The next challenge for the Eagles will be the Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships scheduled for November 2 in Muncie, Indiana.
