The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team is set to conclude its fall season at the White Sands Bahamas Men's NCAA Golf Invitational. The tournament will take place from October 25 to 27 at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island, Bahamas. This event marks the first time since the 2003-24 season that Eastern Michigan has competed outside the United States.

Twelve teams will compete over three days in this tournament hosted by West Virginia. Participants include four Mid-American Conference members: EMU, Ball State, Northern Illinois, and Ohio University. Additionally, two nationally ranked teams, No. 40 College of Charleston and No. 49 Houston, will join George Mason, Maryland, Rutgers, UC San Diego, and Emory.

The Eagles' lineup for the event includes James Baxter, Tim Chan, Rory McDonald-O'Brien, Daniel Robles Delval, Bavake Sihota, and Lucas Hughes who will play as an individual.

Lucas Hughes recently tied for ninth at The Indy at Forest Hills with a score of 2-over 142 (72-70). This competition follows a rain-canceled attempt at The Island at West Bay Collegiate Invitational in Florida.

The team features nine new athletes this season including seniors and freshmen alike. Andy Walker was named the Black College Golf Coaches Association Coach of the Year for his work with VCU.

Following this tournament in the Bahamas, Eastern Michigan will resume competition next year at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Florida on February 15-16.
