CMU Medical Education Partners welcomes two board-certified physicians

CMU Medical Education Partners in Saginaw, Michigan, has announced the addition of two board-certified physicians to its team. Dr. Radhu Cherukuri, a Maternal Fetal Specialist, and Dr. Thomas Schomaker, a Pediatrician, will be providing care at the CMU Health Women and Children’s Center.

Dr. Samuel Shaheen, President and CEO of CMU Medical Education Partners (CMEP), expressed his satisfaction with the new appointments: “We are fortunate to attract excellent physicians to the Great Lakes Bay Region who have a long-standing passion to care for their patients.”

Dr. Cherukuri specializes in maternal fetal medicine and offers her expertise to expecting mothers with high-risk pregnancies. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a fellowship at S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center. With 35 years of experience practicing in Saginaw, she brings significant expertise to the center.

Dr. Schomaker is a pediatrician focused on primary care pediatrics. He obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University and completed his residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. With three decades of experience working with children, he is dedicated to promoting healthy habits among young patients.

The CMU Health Women and Children’s Center provides comprehensive care for both adults and children. The facility includes services such as CenteringPregnancy® and CenteringParenting®, along with specialized clinics for complex care needs including endocrinology, genetics, and rheumatology.
