Eastern Michigan University's women's basketball team has announced new additions to its coaching staff for the 2024-25 season. Head Coach Sahar Nusseibeh introduced John Nicolais and Emily Hays as assistant coaches.
Nicolais, who previously served as interim head coach at Youngstown State University, brings over two decades of experience. He played a significant role in YSU's success, including a Horizon League regular-season title in 2021-22. "John [Nicolais] brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Eastern women's program that will elevate us immediately," Nusseibeh stated.
Emily Hays joins from Valparaiso, where she was an assistant coach. Her background includes head coaching roles at Dickinson College and Hiram College. "Her experience as recruiting coordinator while at Valparaiso will add value immediately as we re-establish strong connections within our region," Nusseibeh commented.
Both Nicolais and Hays are expected to contribute significantly to the team's development and recruitment efforts as they prepare for the upcoming season.
