Five student-athletes from Eastern Michigan University's baseball team have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced on June 4 that these athletes have earned the Academic All-District distinction.

The CSC Academic All-District Baseball Teams honor student-athletes who excel both in sports and academics. To qualify, athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and participate in 90% of their team's contests. Pitchers need at least 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched to be eligible.

This year, Nick Chittum, Blake McRae, Logan Hugo, Glenn Miller, and Cory Taylor received the award for EMU. McRae achieved the highest GPA among them with a 3.88, followed by Hugo with a 3.86. Taylor recorded a GPA of 3.72, while Chittum had a 3.63 and Miller rounded out the group with a GPA of 3.60.

Chittum has previously earned MAC Academic honors in both 2022 and 2023. Hugo, Miller, and Taylor also received recognition following their academic all-MAC seasons in 2023.
