The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) baseball team is preparing to face off against Michigan State University (MSU) in a non-conference game scheduled for Tuesday, May 14. The match will take place at McLane Baseball Stadium at Kobs Field in East Lansing, Michigan, with the first pitch set for 6 p.m.

Fans can follow the game through live stats and a watch link available on the EMU baseball schedule page at EMUEagles.com/baseball/schedule. Updates will also be provided on EMU's social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

This matchup marks the Eagles' second encounter with a Big Ten opponent this season. Following their game against MSU, EMU will travel to face Northern Illinois University from May 16-18 for their final series of the 2024 campaign.

Several players have reached career milestones this season. Logan Hugo, Glenn Miller, and Cory Taylor have each achieved 100 hits in their careers. Taylor notably hit his 100th during a recent game against Bowling Green State University.

The Eagles have historical ties with MSU through former coaches Jake Boss Jr. and Mark Van Ameyde, who are now part of the Spartans' coaching staff. Boss led EMU to significant victories during his tenure in 2008, while Van Ameyde guided the team to a MAC Tournament Championship appearance in 2017.

A win against MSU would give EMU multiple "Power Five" victories in one season for the first time since 2018. Previously this year, they defeated the University of Michigan decisively on March 19.

The upcoming contest will be the 141st meeting between EMU and MSU. Historically, EMU has recorded a 58-80-2 record against MSU but has struggled recently with four consecutive losses to the Spartans.

Following their series against Northern Illinois University, fans can stay updated on all things related to EMU Baseball by checking out their social media accounts on various platforms including X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok.
