The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team has been projected to finish ninth in the Mid-American Conference standings for the 2024-25 season. This prediction comes from a poll conducted among the conference's 12 head coaches, as announced by the MAC on October 22.
In the poll, Eastern Michigan (9th, 36 points) was placed between Central Michigan University (8th, 55 points) and Western Michigan University (10th, 33 points). Ohio University topped the list with 121 points and received 11 out of the 12 first-place votes as the predicted MAC champion.
Eastern Michigan will begin its regular season at Texas State University on November 4. Before that, fans can watch them play an exhibition game against Central State University at George Gervin GameAbove Center on October 30 at 6:30 p.m.
Last season, Eastern finished in tenth place with a record of six wins and twelve losses in the MAC. The team features four returning players from last year's roster but did not have any player selected for the Preseason All-MAC Teams this year.
