Eastern Michigan University (EMU) achieved a remarkable comeback victory over Central Michigan University (CMU) with a final score of 38-34 during their Homecoming game at Rynearson Stadium. Trailing by 18 points in the fourth quarter, EMU scored three touchdowns to secure the win.

Before the game, legendary EMU Head Coach Jim Harkema spoke to the team, emphasizing the importance of key plays. The Eagles' defense was crucial in securing the victory alongside their offensive efforts.

The game began with Markus Allen catching a 15-yard touchdown pass from Cole Snyder, followed by a field goal from Jesús Gómez, giving EMU an early lead. Despite setbacks, including a fumble returned for a CMU touchdown, EMU maintained resilience.

In the second half, CMU extended their lead to 34-16 before EMU's offense ignited. Terry Lockett Jr. scored twice on passes from Snyder, narrowing the gap. Snyder then completed a one-yard run to clinch the win.

Markus Allen had an outstanding performance with 140 receiving yards and one touchdown. Terry Lockett Jr. also contributed significantly with two touchdowns and 100 receiving yards.

Cole Snyder finished with 300 passing yards and three touchdowns while also contributing as a rusher and punter. Jesús Gómez was perfect in his kicking duties, adding crucial points for EMU.

Defensively, Trey Laing played a pivotal role in halting CMU's advances late in the game. James Djonkam and Barry Manning made key defensive plays that helped secure the victory.

The win improved EMU's record to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in MAC play. Head Coach Chris Creighton achieved his 33rd MAC victory, setting a new record for most conference wins by an Eastern coach.

EMU will next face the University of Akron on October 26th in Akron, Ohio.
