The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) soccer team is preparing for an important match against Northern Illinois on October 18. The game will be broadcast on NIUHuskies.com, with live stats available at EMUEagles.com/livestats.

In their previous match, the Eagles faced a challenging game against Western Michigan, where they conceded a goal in the 82nd minute but managed to equalize through junior Secora Johnson's goal in the 86th minute. Freshman Tayla Maddock also scored her first career goal earlier this month, contributing to a victory over Miami.

Sophomore Olivia Sipsock has been a standout player this season with four goals, while redshirt sophomore Ella Holland has recorded six clean sheets. The team's performance has seen them go unbeaten at home with a record of 4-0-3.

Head Coach Taylor Clarke is leading the team in his first season after taking over from Scott Hall, who retired last year. Clarke is supported by Associate Head Coach Matt Hinds and Assistant Coach Mary Carlson.

The Eagles have shown strong defensive performances with increased roles for sophomores Sarah Van Euwen and Rosalie Takacsy. Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Ella Holland has played every minute of the season so far, achieving an impressive save rate.

The upcoming match against Northern Illinois will add another chapter to their rivalry history. The Eagles have historically led the series but have lost their last two encounters against the Huskies.

As they continue their season, EMU looks forward to maintaining its form and improving its standings within the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
