The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics has announced a collaboration with Eastern Market Brewing Co., located in Detroit's Eastern Market. This partnership will introduce a specially crafted, co-branded beer for EMU fans, coinciding with the fall sports season. Fans will have the opportunity to name the brew.

The beer, an American lager with a 4.5% ABV, is made exclusively for Eastern Michigan University to honor its traditions and community. The beer will be officially licensed through CLC and available at Rynearson Stadium, the George Gervin GameAbove Center, and other select locations.

"We are thrilled to partner with Eastern Market Brewing Co. to create something that unites our fans both on and off the field," said EMU Vice President/Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee. "This collaboration is more than just a beverage; it's a celebration of EMU pride and a symbol of our deep connection to the community."

Eastern Market Brewing Co., known for its innovative approach to brewing, developed this special beer with EMU fans in mind.

Fans can vote on one of five potential names for the Official EMU Athletics beer:

1. EM-Brew

2. Water Tower Power

3. Ypsi-Lager

4. Hats Off To Brew

5. 1849 Lager

Voting is open online at app.emueagles.com/NameTheEMBCBeer, with the winning name announced later this fall.
