Eastern Michigan University (EMU) has announced the 2024-25 schedule for its men's and women's cross country programs. The announcement was made by women's head coach Sue Parks and men's head coach Austin Whitelaw on Monday, August 5.
The Eagles are scheduled to participate in six regular-season meets before entering post-season action, starting with the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Cross Country Championships. This event will be hosted by Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, on Saturday, November 2.
The season will commence at the Jeff Drenth Memorial, hosted by Central Michigan University in Shepherd, on Friday, August 30.
The team will then compete at the George Dales Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo on Friday, September 20.
October will see a significant portion of the season's activities. The Eagles will first participate in the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana, on Friday, October 4.
On Friday, October 18, EMU is set to attend two meets: the Falcon Invite at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio; and the Arturo Barrios Invite at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
The Eagles' only home meet of the season will be the EMU Fall Classic held in Dexter, Michigan on Friday, October 25.
Following the MAC Championships, qualifying athletes will move on to the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by the MAC in Norton, Ohio on Friday, November 15. The season will conclude with the NCAA Cross Country Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin in Madison on Saturday, November 23.
