Eastern Michigan University Head Women's Golf Coach Josh Brewer has announced the addition of freshman Maddysun Beeching to the team for the 2024-25 season. Beeching, hailing from Camberley, Surrey, England and a graduate of Millfield School, joins the EMU roster ranked 1,026 on the European Golf Ranking with 633.49 EGR points.

Beeching's notable victories include winning the 2024 European Schools Girls Scratch Championship and the 2024 Somerset Girls Scratch Championship at Somerset Schools. Her earlier accomplishments feature triumphs in the 2022 BB&O Junior Girls Scratch, the 2021 Millfield Championship, and the handicap section of the 2018 Foxhills Open. She qualified for the English U18s at just 14 years old.

"Maddy is the type of person we want as we continue to build a winning culture," Brewer said. "She loves to play tournaments and compete. Maddy and her family live and breathe golf. I want to thank Maddy and her family for believing that this is where she can reach her height in golf, and academics."

Beeching will join sophomore Savannah De Bock from Belgium, senior Amaya Melendez from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and freshman Mariana Vega from Colombia on the EMU women's golf team.
