Congressman John Moolenaar expressed concerns about the impact of rising inflation on Michigan families under President Biden's administration. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a 3.5% increase in inflation in March compared to the previous year, adding to the challenges faced by families in the state.

"Inflation in March was higher than the experts thought, but it was no surprise to the Michigan families who are paying more for everything they buy under President Biden. His policies have printed trillions of dollars, sparked inflation, burdened small businesses, and generally made life harder for Americans," Moolenaar stated.

The data revealed that since President Biden took office in January 2021, inflation has surged by 19.4%. Additionally, a CBS report highlighted that the average Michigan family now needs to earn an extra $10,435 annually to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed before the current administration began.

The ongoing economic challenges, particularly regarding inflation, continue to impact Michigan families, prompting concerns about the financial strain faced by households in the state.
