State Representatives Tom Kunse and Alabas Farhat have announced the second annual Legislative Softball Game for charity. The event, which was a huge success last year, will take place on June 5 at Jackson Field in Lansing. The game aims to bring together colleagues on both sides of the aisle and raise funds for a worthy cause.

"Last year was such a success that we had to run it back again this year," said Rep. Kunse. "The Legislative Softball Game allows us to throw politics aside, embrace bipartisanship, and raise money for a really important organization."

Rep. Farhat also expressed his excitement for the upcoming event. "Bringing together colleagues on both sides of the aisle, we were able to raise $20,000 for the Lansing area homeless population, while building meaningful relationships along the way," he said. "The upcoming second annual Legislative Softball Game promises to be unforgettable."

In the spirit of bipartisanship, this year's chosen charity is Ele's Place. Ele's Place is dedicated to aiding grieving individuals through a range of services, including peer-to-peer support groups and bereavement counseling.

The representatives are looking forward to the game and encourage the community to participate. More details about the event will be released at a later date.

Rep. Kunse represents the 100th House District, which includes Mecosta, Osceola, and parts of Lake and Clare counties. Rep. Farhat represents the 3rd House District, which includes most of Dearborn, all of Melvindale, and parts of Detroit.
