Clare-Gladwin Regional Education Service District recently issued the following announcement.

POSITION TITLE: Data and Assessment Coordinator, Instructional Consultant

STARTING DATE: February 2022 (can be flexible with transition from current employer)

JOB LOCATION: Clare-Gladwin RESD, 4041 E. Mannsiding, Clare, MI 48617

COMPENSATION: Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with experience and education

WORK DAYS PER YEAR: Full-time, 260 days (11 paid holidays and 20 paid vacation days)

REPORTS TO: Director of General Education

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot

• At least five years of teaching or principal experience – Social Studies or Science preferred

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate

• Experience with Skyward and Illuminate DnA preferred

• Working knowledge of Michigan mandates, rules and laws related to education

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills with a variety of audiences

• Facilitation skills necessary to lead professional development, one-on-one support, and learning networks

JOB OBJECTIVES/FUNCTIONS:

• Provides direct services and technical assistance to local districts in all matters related to PK-12 student data, assessment, and state and federal accountability

• Trains teachers and administrators in the use of student data to inform instruction

• Supports state and local assessments, including M-STEP, MI-Access, SAT, PSAT, ACT, WIDA, NWEA, STAR, and Acadience

• Coordinates state reporting for the CGRESD Area School and Early Childhood programs

• Develops training documentation by translating and communicating technical information into non-technical terms

• Works with CGRESD Technology Department to integrate curriculum resources with current systems

• Acts as a liaison between the General Education, Special Education, and Technology Departments

• Promotes data security as well as HIPPA and FERPA compliance

• Serves as a liaison between the Michigan Department of Education and local districts for PK-12 Social Studies or Science content
