Get to know the City's new Finance Director and Treasurer, Elle Cole O’Connell!
Elle has devoted her career to service in the municipal sector. She recently joined the City in December 2021 to have an opportunity to focus on the city and its residents moving forward during this exciting period of growth. With over 25 years of combined experience, Elle is an expert in finance issues relating to municipalities and non-profits. Elle began her career at Plante & Moran, LLP as an auditor and since has specialized in public sector and nonprofit organizations. Elle is a certified public accountant and currently attending Eastern Michigan University earning her Master’s in Public Administration. Elle is a graduate of Michigan State University Eli Broad School of Business. She is a member of the Governmental Finance Officers Association, International City/County Management Association, Michigan Government Management Information Sciences and Michigan Governmental Finance Officers Association.
