Beaverton High School recently issued the following announcement.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible; with liberty and justice for all.

1. Monday is Candy Cane Day, wear Red & White

2. Seniors who did NOT order a cap and gown need to do so immediately. The deadline to order online with Herff Jones is December 31 st . If you need assistance in placing your order, see Mrs. Kintner or Mrs Fischer (in the front office) ASAP. Joe Fox from Herff Jones will be here next week.

3. Hitting Barn will be open Sat 10:30-11:30.

4. For students interested in Ski Club please turn both forms in as soon as you can. Stay tuned for another meeting next week.

5. 7th and 8th Grade Student Government will have a meeting today during lunch in Ms. Coughlin's room discussing final preparations for the Ugly Sweater Dance. Be ready to tell me what you are bringing for a snack/drink and who you asked to be a chaperone.

6. Friday, December 10th, NHS will be hosting an event for any teacher or 9th-12th student to participate. We'll be writing letters of sympathy and support to students at Oxford High

School--the school that was recently affected by the tragic shooting. This letter-writing event will take place during WIN on Friday, December 10th in Mrs. Sanderson's room. Thank you to all who choose to participate. Guest passes will need to be turned in no later than Wednesday, December 15 th .

Events: Varsity Girls Basketball @ Harrison, Game starts at 7:00 pm, bus departs at 5:45 pm, drop & go

Wrestling @ Oscoda Team Invite, Saturday, games start at 9:00 am

Bowling @ Riverwood Lanes in MT. Pleasant, Saturday, at 1:00 pm

Event Results: The boys basketball team split with Harrison last night. The Varsity lost on a buzzer-beater, 40-38. Colton Compton scored 13 points and Logan Love had 12. The JV squad won 64-20, powered by Reese Longstreth's 20 points; Lincoln Stoike added 14. Both teams play at Meridian next Tuesday.
