City of Howell issued the following announcement on July 19.
A HUGE congratulations to Brooke Briggs on her promotion from Detective to Sergeant Briggs!
Sgt. Briggs was hired with the Howell Police Dept. in November of 2015 after graduating from the Wayne County Regional Police Academy. She is currently attending Cleary University as a full-time student and is scheduled to graduate this December with her Bachelors’ Degree. Throughout her time with the Howell PD, Sgt. Briggs has served as a field training officer and an instructor in multiple disciplines, including firearms, defensive tactics, taser and de-escalation. She was previously assigned to the Detective Bureau and served on the Livingston Regional SWAT Team.
