LANE CLOSURES AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS UPDATE | JULY 9, 2021. ALL PROPOSED DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Road: 25 Mile Road and Romeo Plank Road / Garfield Road in Macomb Township

Location: 25 Mile Road and Romeo Plank Road / Garfield Road Intersection

Traffic: Road closure with detour. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

Duration: July 12, 2021 – September 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Roundabout construction at the existing intersection. Roundabout construction, new storm sewer, curb and gutter, approaches, and restoration work.

Road: Romeo Plank Road in Macomb Township

Location: South of 24 Mile Road

Traffic: Romeo Plank will be closed to through traffic from 23 Mile Road to 24 Mile Road. Detour will be posted. Expect Delays.

Duration: July 19, 2021 – July 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Crossroad culvert replacement.

Road: Schoenherr Road in Sterling Heights

Location: Plumbrook Drain to Clinton River Road

Traffic: The northbound roadway will be closed to through traffic and detour signs will be placed during construction operations. Expect delays during construction. Seek alternate routes when possible.

Duration: April 15, 2021 – August 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Mill, base repair, asphalt overlay with four bridge rehabilitation locations.

Road: 10 Mile Road in Warren

Location: Dequindre Road to Ryan Road

Traffic: Expect delays during construction. Seek alternate routes when possible.

Duration: April 12, 2021 – August 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Mill, curb and gutter, base repair, and asphalt overlay.

Road: Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores

Location: 8 Mile Road to 9 Mile Road

Traffic: The right lanes will be closed for concrete patching. The inside lanes will be closed when the outside lanes are complete. Expect delays during construction. Seek alternate routes when possible. All businesses who put their garbage out on Harper Avenue are asked to move it to the nearest residential side street for the duration of construction.

Duration: April 12, 2021 – July 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Full depth concrete pavement patching, curb repair, and restoration work.

Road: 23 Mile Road in Macomb Township

Location: West of Card Road to North Avenue

Traffic: Traffic will remain open throughout the duration of the project with flagging operations in place to stop traffic when necessary. Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible.

Duration: October 19, 2020 – September 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Reconstruction of existing asphalt road to five-lane concrete road, storm sewer construction, utility relocations, signal improvements, and restoration work.

Road: Cass Avenue in Clinton Township

Location: Clinton River Road to Moravian Drive over the Clinton River

Traffic: Bridge traffic will be maintained with one lane open in each direction throughout the duration of the project. Speed limits will be reduced through the work zone.

Duration: March 8, 2021 – August 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: Bridge rehabilitation including deck patching, epoxy overlay, beam end repairs, remove railing, construct aesthetic parapet railing and widen sidewalk, concrete surface coating, guardrail, approach work and pavement markings.

UTILITY PROJECTS

Road: Mound Road in Warren

Location: Mound Road and 14 Mile Road

Traffic: Northbound and southbound left lane closures on Mound Road and eastbound right lane closure west of Mound Road to east of Van Dyke Avenue.

Duration: July 5, 2021 – September 2021 (weather permitting)

Description: The project is part of a gas main replacement by Consumer's Energy under a Department of Roads permit.
