Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
The Child Advocacy Center of Isabella County (ICCAC) has named a new leader following the departure of its leader for the past three years.
Megan (Meg) Shubert has accepted the position of Executive Director, replacing Kim Seidel, who resigned September 6.
“We are thrilled to have Meg leading our team. Her passion for children and families, and her dedication to making our community great, truly shines through,” said Shepherd Chief of Police Luke Sawyer, board chair.
Schubert is a lifelong resident of Michigan, having moved to Mt. Pleasant in 2010 to pursue higher education at Central Michigan University. She recently completed her Master’s Degree in Public Administration
Prior to her role at ICCAC, Schubert worked for McClintic Law Firm as the Office Manager. Other past experience includes her role for Isabella County as Deputy Clerk.
In her new role, Schubert will establish a strategic plan for the ICCAC that will allow for the center to grow their prevention education program, expand services offered and strengthen community collaboration.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this organization,” Schubert said. “I have already hit the ground running and am excited to take this agency to the next level with the help of the amazing staff and board of directors.”
