Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 12.
Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a privately held national retail chain of craft and home decor stores, opens in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan with a ribbon cutting ceremony and official grand opening celebration on Monday, September 16 at 9 a.m. The Mt. Pleasant store is Hobby Lobby’s 27th location in Michigan. Jessica Davis is the store manager of the 50,000 square-foot retail facility located at Old U.S. 27 in Central Michigan Commons.
The store’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public. Local dignitaries, ambassadors from the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce and
other business leaders will attend the celebration.
“The success of our stores in Michigan is a good indicator that Mt. Pleasant shoppers will be pleased with the quality, selection and value we offer in the craft and home
decor market,” stated Kelly Black, Director of Advertising. “New customers and customers already familiar with the Hobby Lobby shopping experience are eagerly
anticipating this store opening.”
Hobby Lobby has over 850 stores across the nation. Each store offers more than 70,000 crafting and home decor products including floral, fabric, needle art, custom
framing, baskets, home accents, wearable art, arts and crafts, jewelry making, scrapbooking and paper crafting supplies. Store hours are Monday through
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sunday.
